Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus may be calling it quits after almost three decades of marriage. The parents of Miley Cyrus are reportedly divorcing – again.
Tish is said to have filed for divorce from Billy Ray last week in Tennessee, according to court documents. It the divorce complaint, it was noted that Billy Ray and Tish have not lived together since February of 2020.
Billy Ray’s longtime spouse cited irreconcilable differences as the grounds for their separation. She is asking that the court equitably divide and distribute marital assets, as well as award her separate property.
This is by no means the first time that either has filed for divorce from the other. Back in October 2010, Billy Ray filed, only to reveal the following year that he dropped the divorce. In 2013, Tish filed for divorce from the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer. A month later, both Billy Ray and Tish spoke out about working on their relationship, saying at the time:
“We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together. We both went into couples therapy, something we haven’t done in 22 years of being together, and its brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways.”
Billy Ray has been very noticeably absent from Tish’s social media posts since 2019. He was not in their family photo for Christmas 2021.
The couple wed in December 1993 and share five kids together. Billy Ray also has a son with his ex, Kristin Luckey.
