Tiffany Haddish is breaking her silence on the allegations of molestation directed at her.
The 42-year-old actress spoke out for the first time after the was named in a lawsuit for molestation charges. She, alongside Aries Spears, were both named in a suit from a Jane Doe on behalf of a minor identified as John Doe and are being accused of sexual assault.
In the suit, Jane Doe alleged that when she was 14 years old, Tiffany brought her to a taping of a “sexually suggestive Subway commercial.” There, she was allegedly instructed on how to perform inappropriate sexual acts and claimed that Tiffany also offered to help get her on TV.
After Tiffany’s lawyer spoke out against the allegations, Tiffany herself has now addressed them. In a post on Instagram, Tiffany said:
“I know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there’s very little that I can say right now.”
She went on to express her deep regret:
“But, clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all – and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it.
I really look forward to being able to share a lot more about this situation as soon as I can.”
