LA Family Housing is finalizing the details for its 2nd annual virtual fundraiser, “Home Together,” booking a slew of celebrities, elected officials and high-profile performers along with host Matt Rogers.

The organization, which seeks to help people transition out of homelessness and poverty through a continuum of housing enriched with supportive services, will present the event on April 29 as a way to raise awareness and funds for its work to end homelessness in L.A. County. Event co-chairs include Blair Rich, Karen Brodkin, and Zeeda Daniele.

The evening will feature musical performances by Darius Rucker, Boney James, Ledisi and The Linda Lindas, a conversation with L.A. City Council member Nithya Raman and L.A. County Supervisor Holly Mitchell, and words from celebrity supporters Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, Jordana Brewster, Jacques Slade, Melissa Joan Hart, Troian Bellisario, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Alycia Pascual-Peña.

Last year’s gala, held in late June, hosted more than 980 supporters and proved to be a successful format for the nonprofit amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which put a stop to large-scale in person events. Though vaccine distribution is well on its way to all adults over 16 in L.A. County by mid-April, large events still are not permitted hence another iteration of “Home Together.”

“Since last March, our team has ramped up on all fronts to support our most vulnerable neighbors,” said Stephanie Klasky-Gamer, president and CEO of LA Family Housing. “’Home Together’ is about honoring our inspiring program participants, our incredible staff, the elected officials who represent us, and the artists who lift up our work and our message. This has been such a challenging year, but it is uplifting to see all that we are able to accomplish together.”

As part of the event, “Home Together” will provide guests with the opportunity to enhance at-home viewing with special menus and offerings from restaurant partners Angelini Osteria, Big Sugar Bakeshop, Dulan’s on Crenshaw, Gasolina Cafe, Golden Rice Co., Hotville Chicken, Maker Wine, Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse, Oui! Cheese, Petrossian Restaurant & Boutique, Redbird and Socalo. Up to 50 percent of the proceeds from each purchase goes directly to LA Family Housing.

The org worked with creative technology agency PXL and creative production agency Core Creative Labs to produce and enhance the experience of a virtual fundraiser. A digital stage was custom designed by Core Creative Labs and producer Tawny Harrison to elevate the event, which will be broadcast via custom website as well as on Facebook and YouTube. More information can be found here.
