Kim Kardashian’s got advice for females who are in business — and it’s not sitting well with a lot of people.
In a new interview with Variety, the 41-year-old reality star and mogul relayed some words of wisdom to women, declaring:
“I have the best advice for women in business: Get your f**king a** up and work.”
She added fuel to the fire by adding:
“It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
Her sister Kourtney concurred, saying:
“That’s so true.”
Kim went on to state:
“You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good environment where everyone loves what they do because you have one life.
No toxic work environments and show up and do the work.”
Her comments earned the ire of many people. Journalist Soledad O’Brien wrote:
“Also: Be born rich. Really helps.”
Broadway star Patti Murin also had something to say:
“If I could afford to produce my own Broadway show so that I could star in it, then yes I would think this is excellent advice.”
And actress Jameela Jamil had criticisms of her own:
“I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion… nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic.
This same 24 hours in the day sh*t is a nightmare. 99.9% of the world grew up with a very different 24 hours.”
Twitterverse also chimed in, with comment like Kim is “out of touch” and needs “a f**king reality check.” Many also deemed her words to be “insensitive bulls**t.”
