Kaley Cuoco has partnered with Beverly Hills-based Raven Fine Jewelers as co-designer of the Healing Wings Butterfly necklace, sales of which will benefit the EB Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF).

EBMRF is a cause close to Cuoco’s heart. Her manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, has a son named Brandon who lives with the rare, life-threatening genetic disease known as EB or Epidermolysis Bullosa which causes painful wounds similar to burns that often cover much of a person’s body. Simple activities can lead to tearing or blistering on the fragile skin, so children who live with it are sometimes called “Butterfly Children.” The necklace design is a way to honor them and is meant to symbolize the strength and beauty of those fighting the EB battle.

“EB is a cause that I care about personally,” said Cuoco, who is having a banner week with Golden Globe and SAG Awards nominations for her starring turn in The Flight Attendant. “My manager’s son, Brandon, was born with EB and I’ve known him his whole life. I want to help find a cure for this painful disorder.”

The design features an etched butterfly pendant that hangs from a matching chain. It can be personalized by birthstone and is available in sterling silver, yellow gold, rose gold, or white gold. The Healing Wings Butterfly retails for $100 and $395 and is available online. Fifty percent of the sales will benefit EBMRF thanks to Raven and its founder Michael Raven.

“We hope that everyone who learns about this disorder and those who struggle on a daily basis, will be touched and want to help,” he says. “This necklace is a unique gift and a great way to make a difference.”
