Baby2Baby ambassadors and supporters Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Stephanie Stepherd and Jada Paul stepped out on Sunday to help distribute essentials at a special drive-thru event presented by Frame.
Held at Baby2Baby’s Los Angeles headquarters, the group doled out diapers, warm jackets, blankets, soap, shampoo, groceries, masks, toys and more for families in need. “It was an amazing day seeing the children and parents’ faces light up. It was so nice to bring joy and holiday cheer to families who need it most,” said Alba on Sunday.
The effort, part of Baby2Baby’s ongoing relief efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic, also came ahead of the holiday season which has already proven to be a challenge for families with rising food inequality and lack of essentials due to the ongoing crisis. Since the start of the pandemic, Baby2Baby has distributed over 50 million essential items.
“Children living in poverty are always hit the hardest by any crisis, and COVID-19 is no exception,” added Baby2Baby co-CEOs Norah Weinstein and Kelly Sawyer Patricof in a joint statement. “The families we serve are struggling more than ever and cannot afford basic necessities like diapers and clothing, let alone any toys or gifts for their children during this unprecedented holiday season. It means the world to our team to be able to host this distribution and provide children impacted by the pandemic with the essentials they need, the presents they wished for, and the holiday smiles they deserve.”
