Billie Eilish snagged record of the year during Sunday’s 63rd annual Grammy Awards for “Everything I Wanted.”
The singer beat out “Black Parade” (Beyoncé), “Colors” (Black Pumas), “Rockstar” (DaBaby Featuring Roddy Ricch), “Say So” (Doja Cat), “Don’t Start Now” (Dua Lipa), “Circles” (Post Malone), and “Savage” (Megan Thee Stallion featuring Beyoncé).
Eilish, who has now won record of the year twice in a row, said at the start of her acceptance speech that she wanted to write a speech of how Megan Thee Stallion should have won the award, thinking she’d never win herself. “You had a year that I think is untoppable. You are a queen. I want to cry thinking of how much I love you. You are so beautiful, you are so talented. You deserve everything in the world,” Eilish told the fellow Grammy winner.
“Thank you for seeing me,” Eilish then told the audience in her short speech, also giving thanks to her brother Finneas who joined her on stage to accept the award.
Hosted by Trevor Noah, the ceremony was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center and broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
