Cristian Ronaldo and his wife Georgina Rodriguez just shared some heartbreaking news: Their baby boy has passed away.
The 37-year-old soccer star and 28-year-old model revealed that their infant son died during childbirth. Their baby girl, who was a twin, survived.
Cristiano made the sad announcement via social media, writing:
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.”
The couple’s statement went on to emotionally say:
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.
Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Cristiano and Georgina announced back in October 2021 that they were expecting twins. They are also parents to a 4-year-old daughter, Alana. Cristiano also has an 11-year-old son Cristiano Jr whose mother has not been revealed, and 4-year-old twins Eva and Mateo born via surrogate.
