BTS delivered a fun, energetic performance during Sunday night’s 63rd annual Grammy Awards.

During their performance, the K-pop music sensation danced while also paying tribute to the Grammys. Performing from Seoul, BTS replicated the Grammys stage from the Los Angeles Convention Center in their performance. After first performing on an empty Grammys stage, the group then transitioned to a Grammys red carpet set. They then finished their performance by dancing atop a rooftop as the cityscape lit up behind them, replicating downtown Los Angeles.

This year, the group earned a Grammy nom for best pop duo/group performance for their hit single, “Dynamite” making them the first Korean pop group to receive a major Grammy nomination. During E!’s Grammy’s Pre-Show prior to the ceremony, they expressed how excited they were to have been nominated and perform.  “This is a chance for us to sort of show the world about Korean culture and ourselves and our music so we’re really happy and we’re really proud,” J-Hope said.

“Dynamite” marked BTS’ first entirely English-language song, debuting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 following its release last August.

BTS’ first made their debut on the Grammys stage in 2019 when they participated as presenters. Last year, they performed alongside Lil Nas X. The Korean pop group made history in 2019 when Love Yourself: Tear became the first ever Korean album to be recognized by the Recording Academy in the best recording package category.

The Grammy Awards aired live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday from the Los Angeles Convention Center. Trevor Noah hosted.
