2011’s ‘Alice: Madness Returns’ is Back on Steam
Fans of American McGee’s Alice: Madness Returns will no doubt be pleased to learn that after a lengthy absence, the game is back on Steam. The second entry in McGee’s dark take on the Alice in Wonderland stories. Alice: Madness Returns was originally delisted from Steam five years ago, due to the license expiring, and EA wanting fans to jump on their own Origin gaming service for the game.
Apparently, some fans were so hungry for the game on Steam that they were paying steep prices for older Madness Returns keys. That thankfully is no longer the case.
Originally released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2011, the Spicy Horse-developed Alice: Madness Returns sees Alice returning to Wonderland in order to combat the new dark force that has invaded the land.
Meanwhile, we’re stilling waiting on McGee’s third entry in the series, which is slow coming, but hopefully EA takes an interest. One would think so, given the recent announcement about the TV adaptation penned by David “Solid Snake” Hayter.
